Modern cellular phone technologies such as CDMA-2000, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, LTE and UMB provide consumers with an increasing range of attractive mobile voice and data services. However, these ever-higher bandwidth networks are increasingly expensive to operate and extremely energy inefficient. Most of this is due to the poor performance of the RF power amplifiers (PA) at the heart of cellular base stations (a.k.a. cell sites).
Dali's new line of highly efficient power amplifiers, Remote Radio Head (RRH) and Digital Repeater units can cut power consumption in the entire base station by 50% while increasing bandwidth and linearity required for new generation technologies.
Dali Wireless has patented Digital PreDistortion (DPD), advanced Crest Factor Reduction (CFR), novel Digital Up-Conversion/Digital Down-Conversion (DUC/DDC) algorithms, and patented n-way Doherty Power Amplifier (PA) that improve base station performance, shrink critical system size, and reduce power consumption by up to 50% vs. conventional approaches.
