Saltworks Technologies provides sustainable and economic solutions for desalination and brine treatment.
Our breakthrough Thermo-Ionic™ technology harnesses renewable heat from the sun or waste heat from industrial processes to provide energy efficient, low cost desalinated water and treat waste salt water with minimal environmental impact.
Located in Vancouver, Canada, Saltworks facilities encompass proprietary membrane and desalting device manufacturing, desalination system production, engineering and test centre. Our headquarters include a fully permitted hybrid desalination plant and solid salt maker. The low pressure, low cost plant is built largely from plastics and offers considerable energy savings.
Our partners include world class firms in the advanced materials and industrial equipment supply space, including SPX Cooling Technologies, a global manufacturer of cooling towers and air-cooled condensers. Major investors include: Knight Piésold, an international engineering firm; Teck Resources, Canada's largest diversified mining company; and Cenovus Energy, a Canadian oil company.
