Dear VIT Members,
We hope you had a good summer!
We would like to personally invite you to our winter 2016 event, scheduled for December 8, 5:30-8:30 PM, at the SFU Segal Building, 500 Granville St, Vancouver.
Our keynote is Guy Miasnik, President of AtHoc Division for BlackBerry.
Guy was the co-founder and CEO of AtHoc, and was instrumental in transforming AtHoc from a Silicon Valley start-up to the number one provider of networked crisis communication solutions serving the vast majority of the US Homeland Security and Defense community.
Udi Daon, CEO of Navigate Surgical Technologies, will provide an update on recent progress and also tell us how they built a company which addresses global needs in the medical device space through innovation in technology and a unique business model.
Andrea Palmer, founder and CEO of Awake Lab, a local start-up developing technology to track anxiety in autistic individuals and improve their focus and long term independence, will tell us about her recent trip to Israel where she represented Canada at a global competition which was part of DLD Tel-Aviv.
As usual admission is free, Kosher style refreshments will be served and casual networking will take place before and after the presentations.
All presentations will be in English.
This event is sponsored by BLG, The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, CIJA Pacific Region, and Navigate Surgical Technologies.
Please RSVP today!
On a closing remark, Yaron Bazaz, VIT co-founder and co-organizer has recently decided to step down from his role in the VIT in order to focus on his start-up Go-Downtown. We wish him luck on the path ahead.
See you at the event!
