Blockchain (aka Distributed Ledger Systems) is revolutionizing the way people and objects trust and do business with each other over a distributed peer-to-peer network. This developer-focused session, dives into the Ethereum Blockchain offerings using Azure, walks through configuring and deploying a developer and consortium network, developing Solidity smart contracts, interacting with smart contracts and sending events using oracles.

Speaker: Eric Maino
Eric Maino has been testing and developing software for over 15 years. Eric is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer and Evangelist in the Technical Evangelist and Development team and has been concentrating his time recently on Blockchain. Prior to joining Microsoft, Eric spent time as a consultant focusing on open source Linux development to help architect enterprise solutions with .NET in its infancy. Eric joined Microsoft in 2005 originally working on the C# IDE team and has since also spent time working in Windows, Visual Studio and Visual Studio Team System, primarily focusing on developer productivity. Eric has a passion for architecting and building reusable, reliable and scalable software that is fun to read, develop and use.
