Join the Discovery Foundation's Speed Mentoring Program in Collaboration with WCT, a free event series which seeks to break down barriers by providing informal mentoring opportunities open to all women, trans, and non-binary folk working in communications and technology.
A Speed Mentoring event consists of a series of short, round-table discussions facilitated by one volunteer mentor and up to four mentees, creating opportunities to:
- Form new connections with both mentors and mentees from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Explore how having a mentor could support you and your career
- Gather a range of new perspectives on a challenge you are currently facing
- Share your wisdom and experience by being a mentor yourself.
You'll also have a chance to win a wine tasting at Township 7 for you and 9 friends!
When: Tuesday, September 18
Time: 5pm - 8pm
Where: Hootsuite, 5 East 8th Avenue, Vancouver, V5T 1R6
Cost: Free

The theme for this event is Taking the Lead. Participants are encouraged to share a challenge they are currently facing and for which they are seeking guidance and support. Register now to be a mentee!
