In 2018, The WIMDI Speaker Series is inviting engaging speakers each month to give talks on topics that help women kill it at work.
Welcome to Talk 10 of 12 - Achieving More with Strategic Communication
Communication is an inherent part of every-day life, but how often do we engage in purposeful communication? We could increase our odds of achieving our aims if we focus on delivering the right message, in the right time to the right audience.
In this interactive, fast paced session, Joanna will introduce strategic communications planning for individuals, reveal powerful persuasion tools, and give you a template for curating and performing your content for specific audiences. As Mick Jagger almost said, "You can't always get what you want, but if you strategize, you just might find, you increase your odds". We'll cover:
- The difference Between Strategy and Tactics
- How to Be Persuasive
- How Our Brains Manage Information
- The Power of Story
The goal of this talk is to inspire women to think and act differently when it comes to communication, and to provide new ways of approaching it with strategy and practical steps to get started.
This workshop is facilitated by Joanna Piros, Presentations, Media Relations and Leadership Coach and Trainer.
Joanna Piros teaches media skills, public speaking and strategic communications and, over the course of her career, has trained literally thousands of people in how to be better communicators.
