Vancouver, BC, April 5, 2012--(T-Net)--Accelerate Okanagan announced it has strengthened its program offering for start-up and high growth technology companies by appointing three new Venture Advisors.

In a statement, Accelerate Okanagan's CEO, Jeff Keen, announced that Raghwa Gopal, Samuel Fisher and Braden Messenger will be joining Lead Venture Advisor, Richard Favro as the as the newest members of the AO Venture Advisor team.

Venture Advisor's take every AO program client through a well defined process, assessing their individual needs and matching them with appropriate programs, services, support and expertise. Day to day coaching, together with ongoing reviews, ensures progress is continually maintained. The goal of the AO programs and Venture Advisor team is to accelerate the growth of technology companies and the development of entrepreneurs by identifying and dealing with their business challenges.

Gopal is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and invested in many companies. Over the last 30 years, he has started, grown and sold a number of businesses; most recently, Vadim Software. He has also had extensive experience and been directly involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions throughout his career.

Fisher, an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, is an experienced CFO in the technology industry, both in private and public companies. Along with his extensive equity financing background, he has a wealth of experience in debt financing and corporate planning.

Messenger is a strong sales leader with excellent technical skills specializing in database development. He has spent almost 20 years in the education marketplace predominately in the US and Canada, although his product was installed in 12 countries worldwide. In 2008, he sold his company and transitioned to a consulting role, helping companies grow sales, improve processes and prepare exit strategies.

Jeff Keen said, “We are very fortunate to have been able to attract a team of this calibre to work hands on with clients on our Venture Acceleration Program. These guys are all ‘been there done it' technology and business professionals committed to working with entrepreneurs and early stage companies to take their opportunities to the next level.”

Favro, Lead Venture Advisor, said, "The addition of Braden, Raghwa and Sam to the Accelerate Okanagan Venture Adviser team significantly expands the range of advise & counsel that we can provide to new start up technology companies in the Okanagan.  We are fortunate to have this talented and committed group available to work with our venture clients and partners to help grow and foster the local technology sector."
