New CXC HP Intelligent Controller Platform to Support All Alpha Technologies Power Conversion Products
Vancouver, BC, October 3, 2014--(T-Net)--Alpha Technologies Ltd. announced today the launch of a next generation intelligent control system to manage Alpha's portfolio of power conversionproducts.
The CXC HP controller is a platform that allows single point of control and monitoring for various power generation andstorage devices for a variety of critical power solutions. The CXC HP provides total energy system management by remotelymonitoring and controlling current devices including Alpha's line of rectifiers, DC-DC converters, line power products andinverters, as well as future offerings such as MPPT solar and wind converters and grid-tie inverters.

“The CXC HP platform has an impressive set of new features, available today, for managing the family of Cordex powerconversion devices, plus a roadmap of new features and capabilities that will improve the entire energy management processfor the customer,” said Bill Killion, Senior Product Manager at Alpha.
“The CXC HP simplifies on-site system commissioningand troubleshooting with standard features such as dual Ethernet and USB ports as well as a 4.3” 480x272 hi-resolutiontouchscreen color display. The advanced user interface was designed to accommodate both ease of use as well as permittingadvanced energy system management and automation. Alpha is developing additional security, fleet management, and perfor-mance management features to provide operators with various cost saving opportunities such as peak shaving and demandresponse applications.”
The CXC HP will be introduced in phases in order to manage the transition from the existing Cordex controller.
In Feature Package 1.0 being released this month, the CXC HP is integrated into Alpha's CXPS-C 10,000 Amp CentralizedPower Plant and CXPS-HX 2,500 Amp Distributed Power Plant. The CXC HP will interface with both 24V and 48V rectifiers along with two new input/output peripherals, and can support up to 250 CAN nodes.
