Vancouver, BC, September 26, 2014--(T-Net)--ACL today announced the appointment of 7-Eleven Vice President of Internal Audit, Carolyn Saint, and LinkedIn Head of Internal Audit, Inder Gulati, to its Board of Advisors.
“We are delighted that both Carolyn Saint and Inder Gulati are joining ACL's board,” said Eric Patel, chairman of the board, ACL.
“Over the past three years, I've seen ACL transform itself into a customer-intense organization with a clear, well-articulated vision. At every level, ACL is on a mission to transform how software empowers and supports GRC professionals, creating a generation who truly add value and are sought after within their own organization. Carolyn and Inder embody this spirit and I can't think of anyone better to advise us on this journey.”
Added Carolyn Saint, “ACL's corporate values and vision for supporting the transformation of our profession really resonate with me. At some point in their career, every internal auditor has struggled to put their work into a context that really matters to their organization, and ACL is tackling that challenge head on. I am very excited to participate as a member of ACL's Board of Advisors.”
Carolyn Saint is vice president of internal audit for 7-Eleven, Inc. and currently serves on The Institute of Internal Auditors' board of directors. She is also a member of the IIA's Publications Advisory Committee. Prior to joining 7-Eleven, Carolyn was vice president of internal audit for Lowe's Companies, Inc., Sears Holdings Corporation, Kmart, and Covansys.
Inder Gulati is currently the head of internal audit at LinkedIn, where he established the internal audit function, post-initial public offering (IPO), laying out the vision and strategy for the IA function and hiring his team to support LinkedIn in the areas of SOX compliance, risk management, internal audit, and compliance as LinkedIn scaled from revenues of $500 million to $2 billion. Prior to LinkedIn, Inder was vice president of finance at Visa, where he established a finance internal controls team to build a global SOX compliance program, following Visa's IPO.
“Internal Audit is at a turning point as a profession,” said Gulati. “We need to increase our relevancy and strategic value add to the business. By joining ACL's Advisory Board, I feel I can have an even greater impact by influencing the use of technology in this transformation.”
The ACL Board of Advisors is an independent source of guidance on strategy, product innovation, and industry expertise.
The addition of Carolyn Saint and Inder Gulati brings the Board to a total of six, which also includes former Crystal Decisions (now owned by SAP) chief financial officer, Eric Patel, and former Business Objects executive vice president of operations, Greg Wolfe, in addition to Harald Will (ACL's founder and executive chair) and Laurie Schultz (ACL's CEO).
