Vancouver, BC, July 23, 2015--(T-Net)--Syscon Justice Systems, a leader in the provision of corrections software, announced this week that it has been awarded the contract to implement their new WorkflowJAIL Jail Management System (JMS) at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), Arizona, USA.
The average JMS selection process lasts eight months, according to the past five years of RFP issue and award dates. The MCSO engaged in a more rigorous process than the average, spending closer to 15 months on the selection process that included a very thorough RFP, detailed demonstrations, vendor site visits, vendor reference client site visit and a six-week solution gap analysis exercise.
MCSO will be replacing their legacy detention systems with the new Syscon WorkflowJAIL System, maintaining a high safety standard for inmates, staff and the public by:
“We are extremely excited to have been awarded this project by MCSO” says Dr. Steve Long, CEO and President of Syscon Justice Systems. “It was a long procurement process to get to award but the process that MCSO followed ensured both parties had a clear understanding of what they were signing up for. MCSO have put a great project team together and I know we are going to have a very successful project and deliver them a system that will meet their current needs and also their needs for the next couple of decades.” says Long. “We are looking forward to a long-term successful partnership with MCSO.”
“We are excited about the possibilities the new technology in WorkflowJAIL will open up for us, now and in the future. During the course of the procurement process both parties gained a lot of experience of working together and the whole process has really set the project up for success,” says Mike Olsen, Chief of Detention for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
The contract includes Syscon's WorkflowJAIL Jail Management software, the migration of legacy data, interfaces with other systems, as well as the implementation services, training and support of the new system. Once deployed, Syscon's WorkflowJAIL will be the source of inmate information throughout the MCSO, which includes eight facilities housing 9,000 inmates.
