Hyperwallet Focuses on Payments for the Collaborative Economy With the Addition of Three New Executives
Vancouver, BC, August 18, 2015--(T-Net)--Hyperwallet Systems Inc., a leading global payouts provider to millions of independent workers, today announced major additions to its growing executive team.
Lynda Talgo comes aboard as the company's Chief Operating Officer (“COO”), Drew Weinstein joins as Chief Growth Officer (“CGO”), and David Herron assumes the role of Chief Legal Officer (“CLO”).
Talgo has more than two decades of experience leading key initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and is an expert in launching and scaling programs that transform the customer experience and business results. Following a successful career with Hewlett-Packard in strategic business development, Talgo joined eBay in 2005 where she went on to hold several executive roles including Vice President, Global Managed Marketplaces.
An inspiring leader, Talgo has a track record of building high-performance teams that understand the fundamental needs of customers. As Hyperwallet's COO, Talgo will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, including Product, IT, Customer Service, and HR.
Weinstein has more than 15 years of experience as a business leader, advisor, and corporate attorney. After leading a product development consultancy sponsored by Visa, Weinstein co-founded and served as CEO of Sequent Software Inc., a secure mobile commerce platform. Weinstein practiced law at White & Case and Loeb & Loeb, and has significant experience investing in, and advising, financial technology companies. In his role as CGO, Weinstein will be responsible for driving growth and innovation initiatives at Hyperwallet, as well as corporate development and strategy.
Herron comes to Hyperwallet with nearly 20 years of legal experience, of which the last 12 years were with U.S.-based payments processor Vantiv. Over the course of his long career with Vantiv, Herron served as SVP & Chief Legal Counsel providing strategic legal and business counsel to its executive management, lines of businesses, and operating functions through numerous significant growth events including the company's parent separation, IPO, and many acquisitions. His extensive payments experience in growth environments gives him a unique and valuable perspective on the complex challenges faced by outbound payments organizations. As Hyperwallet's CLO, Herron will be responsible for all legal matters, including compliance and risk management.
“We're delighted to be adding Lynda, Drew, and David to our executive team,” said Brent Warrington, Hyperwallet's CEO. “Hyperwallet is growing at a staggering pace. As we bolster our operations, we'll continue to bring on talented and experienced people who can meet the challenges of our rapid expansion.”

Editor's Note:
For those who missed it, Hyperwallet Systems also recently announced the appointment of Brent Warrington as the company's new Chief Executive Officer back in May.
Brent Warrington is Hyperwallet's new Chief Executive Officer
Warrington brings more than two decades of commerce and payments industry experience to his leadership role at Hyperwallet.
Most recently, he was the CEO of SecureNet Payment Systems (acquired by Worldpay), a provider of cloud-based payment solutions for merchants that integrate point-of-sale, mobile, and e-commerce payments processing.
SecureNet created the industry's first, award-winning, frictionless, multichannel payments experience, which changed the landscape and led to the emergence of the “omnichanel” approach.
Prior to joining SecureNet, Warrington served as the CEO of FundsXpress Inc (acquired by First Data), a successful online banking startup that was the industry's first true SaaS online banking platform.
Warrington has also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of ePayments at First Data Corporation. Warrington was previously the Vice President of Global Market Channels at Electronic Data Systems (acquired by Hewlett Packard). In addition, Warrington has served as Director of Global Strategy and Marketing within EDS's Financial Services Business Unit, where he led the organization's Y2K transformation.
As CEO, Warrington's top priority will be the expansion into new global markets, such as the emerging collaborative economy segment. Additionally, Warrington will develop tactical alliances with financial services organizations and strategic partnerships with emerging high-tech, high-growth companies.
The company also raised a growth equity financing in June 2014 from Primus Capital. Terms and amount of the financing were not released at that time.
