Vancouver, BC, January 11, 2007--(T-Net)--WebTrain Communications announced that they have been chosen by the Technology in Business Schools Roundtable as their official web conferencing provider. This will enable Roundtable Board Members to meet the unique information technology challenges faced by AACSB-accredited geographically disbursed business schools, by utilizing CommunicatorTM multimedia solutions for their virtual collaboration initiatives.
Considering that the TBS Round Table is comprised of IT Directors from leading Universities and Colleges across North America, it has been a challenge for them to meet on a regular basis. They will now be able to virtually meet, see and hear one another, conduct research, share literature, analyze problems, track and solve problem reports, as well as improve on-going communication and networking on a regular basis in a WebTrain virtual meeting space. Using a blackboard and chalk will be a thing of the past with the use of WebTrain’s web based robust and synchronous web conferencing and collaboration solutions.
John Carpenter, Chairman of the TBS Roundtable, said “We reviewed other options but our Board members were very impressed with the WebTrain solution and their customer support facilities such as the Pre-Meeting Check-In Room. We plan to hold all of our regular Board Meetings plus the sessions with our entire membership utilizing the WebTrain service.”
“WebTrain is very proud to have been chosen as TBS Round Table’s technology provider. Through our technology and marketing efforts, we are pleased we can continue to encourage organizations such as the TBS Roundtable to bring together some of the most prominent minds in their field to help improve the overall quality of the technological efforts of schools and colleges across North America” stated David Snell, WebTrain’s Chief Operating Officer and an alumnus of Queen’s.
