Will allow records and knowledge managers to leverage advanced data governance features in Office 365.
Vancouver, BC, June 5, 2018--(T-Net)--Colligo, a leading provider of collaboration apps for the digital workplace, today announced support for Microsoft Office 365 labels—metatags tied to disposition, classification and retention of content which span multiple Office 365 workloads.
This new capability enables customers to leverage the advanced data governance features of the Office 365 Security and Compliance Center. Knowledge and Records managers can create a standard set of labels which can then be automatically or manually applied by workers using Colligo Email Manager for Office 365 to capture content into central SharePoint repositories.
"As organizations everywhere deploy Microsoft Office 365, Knowledge and Records Managers have a new set of advanced data governance capabilities they can leverage to ensure their corporate content is securely stored in the right place at the right time," said Colligo COO, Loic Triger. "By incorporating support for labels into our software, we're giving our customers the full ability to benefit from the evolution of the governance tools available in Office 365."
This is the latest evolution of the Colligo Engage platform, which recently won the award for Best Mobile Solution from the European SharePoint, Office 365 & Microsoft Azure Community at the 2017 European SharePoint Conference.
"Metadata is an essential component of any record, for both context and process purposes," said Robert Bogue, Microsoft MVP and CEO of Thor Projects. "Labels will allow administrators to more easily manage records and knowledge in Office 365, ensuring the application of appropriate retention schedules, facilitating discovery, and reducing legal risk."
