Yaletown Venture Partners Announce New Alberta-Based Executive Limited Partners

Vancouver, BC, March 2, 2012--(T-Net)--Yaletown Venture Partners announced the addition of three new Executive Limited Partners to the firm.

Yaletown ELPs are individual investors in Yaletown-managed funds, who are actively engaged in their local technology communities, act as conduits for new investment opportunities, have deep executive management or investing experience in the global technology industry, and provide advice and business contacts to Yaletown's principals and portfolio companies.
Evan Huco-founded and was co-CEO of the technology consulting firm OmniLogic, which grew to over 500 staff in five offices across Canada before being acquired in 1998 by PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He was one of the original founders of MapleMusic, now Canada's largest independent music publisher and distributor, MapleCore. Mr. Hu was one of the founding team and Chairman of the charity UEnd, and presently is founder and partner at Ideaca, a management and technology consulting firm. Mr. Hu is a certified executive coach working with entrepreneurs, executives and senior managers of start-up and high growth enterprises and teaches the Venture Launch course at the Mount Royal University Bissett School of Business. He is also a member of the A100, a non-profit, member-funded organization of tech entrepreneurs and executives, interested and dedicated in helping Alberta's next generation of innovative start-ups in becoming successful.
Terry Sydoryk has more than 20 years of senior management experience in the technology industry, with over 10 years focused on company creation. Mr. Sydoryk was a co-founder of Calgary-based AudeSi Technologies Inc, which was acquired by WindRiver Systems in 2000. He then joined the leadership team of Toronto-based Plazmic Inc. as COO, which was acquired by Research in Motion in 2002. He returned to western Canada and has been active in the Calgary Technology sector as an advisor, board member and Angel Investor. He is a founding member of the A100.
Brad Zumwalt has been growing technology companies for over 20 years. In 1989, he joined Image Club Graphics and led the Company until in 1994 when it was acquired by Aldus Corporation, which in turn was acquired by Adobe Systems. Over the next four years he led Adobe's worldwide visual content team through sustained revenue growth exceeding $40 million dollars. In 1998,Mr. Zumwalt founded EyeWire.com, an on-line visual content and design company. Eyewire was successfully acquired by Getty Images. In 2000, Mr. Zumwalt was a founding partner of Social Venture Partners Calgary, a unique non-profit funding partnership that combines a venture capital approach with local philanthropy. In 2001, he founded Veer Incorporated where he is Chairman and President. In 2007 Veer was successfully acquired by Corbis, a privately held company of Bill Gates. Mr. Zumwalt is also a founding member of the A100.
