Vancouver, BC, October 27, 2015--(T-Net)--Cooledge Lighting announced recently that its CEO C. Wade Sheen has been named one of Canada's Clean16 in the Clean Tech sector.
This notable group includes leaders in other sectors including Premier Philippe Couillard of the Government of Quebec and John Le Boutillier, President & CEO of Unilever Canada. Canada's Clean50 Awards are announced annually by Delta Management Groupbased in Toronto.
“The 2016 Clean16 are truly the leaders of the leaders in sustainability in Canada.” said Gavin Pitchford, Chief Talent Officer, Delta Management Group. “The competition for the top spot this year in every instance left us with many great choices - and to be selected from amongst such a strong group of peers is truly a testament to the contribution Wade Sheen has made to helping make living well in Canada more sustainable for all Canadians.”
Mr. Pitchford continued, “Cooledge is disrupting the 135 year old electric lighting industry with the world's first sustainable high-efficiency lighting system. Made from feedstocks from the current recyclable materials stream, Cooledge's thin, flexible, efficient lighting systems are revolutionizing the way light is merged with architecture, using products that can be fully recycled at the end of their useful lighting lifecycle. Being twice as efficient as current fluorescent lighting systems used in retail, industrial, institutional and office environments, Cooledge's LED based lighting systems can reduce the world's electrical consumption for lighting by 50%, resulting in a corresponding reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.”
