Tagga Media Lands Contract With Sunwing Airlines to Add New SMS Alert Function

Vancouver, BC, April 8, 2014--(T-Net)--Tagga Media has announced that Sunwing Airlines has collaborated with Tagga, a leader in the cross-channel marketing campaign management, to add a new SMS (text message) alert function to its online flight reservation system.
Conveniently located on the homepage of Sunwing.ca, travelers can sign up to receive updates on their flight status via text message. Launched in December 2013, SMS alerts will keep passengers up-to-date on any changes to their reserved flights. Sunwing leveraged Tagga's cross-channel platform API for this implementation.
“We know that our customer's journey to the airport sometimes consists of a long drive or stopover hotel,” says Mark Williams, President Sunwing Airlines. “We feel that the convenience of flight alerts received right to their mobile device will represent a lot of value to our customers, who can now stay informed throughout their journey”.
The first two months of customer subscriptions show that this development was a very popular addition to the Sunwing Airlines e-commerce platform, which already offers customers the ability to print e-documents, book seat selection, purchase upgrades, pre-order duty free products, and perform web check-in. Sunwing Airlines intends to continue working with experienced technology partners like Tagga to develop products which improve communication and enhance customer experience.
