Scale-up & commercialization leadership critical as Company moves into final stages of product development & delivery
Vancouver, BC, January 17, 2014--(T-Net)--Axine Water Technologies, developers of a simple, low-cost, chemical-free solution for treating high concentrations of problematic, toxic organics and other pollutants in industrial wastewater, today announced the addition of two key members to the Company's executive team, Goran Sparica and Matt Harper.
As Senior Vice President, Engineering & Operations, Goran brings 20 years experience in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of successful industrial project execution and delivery for such cleantech pioneers as Nexterra Systems Corp. Matt holds the Vice President, Product Development role leveraging his fifteen years in clean and renewable technology product development including work on fuel cell technology, hydrogen delivery, and grid-scale electrical energy storage.
“We are delighted to enter 2014 with such seasoned, high-caliber executives like Goran and Matt as we move into the final stages of commercialization of our disruptive industrial wastewater treatment technology. With their extraordinary skills and leadership combined with their relevant real-world experience, we're well positioned to build out our engineering and product development teams and deliver product to market,” said Jonathan Rhone, President & CEO of Axine.
Axine was recently recognized as a “Health, Safety & Environment Technology Star” by a leading oil & gas publication capping off a very successful year for the Company in 2013. Most important was the successful completion of over six months of performance testing and validation of oil & gas, refining, and chemical industry customer wastewaters using a 10 times scale-up of its proprietary electrolytic oxidation cell. This verified the high efficacy treatment of toxic, dissolved organics at low cost, low energy consumption, and without chemicals.
About Axine Water Technologies
Axine has developed a simple, low-cost, chemical-free solution for treating high concentrations of problematic, toxic organics and other pollutants in industrial wastewater solving a multi-billion dollar problem for large companies in a wide range of industries. Its energy-efficient, scalable system treats recalcitrant and non-biodegradable organics, ammonia, and some inorganics (up to 10,000 mg/L COD) at up to five times lower cost than conventional chemical or biological solutions. And due to its compact, modular design, it is designed to seamlessly “plug into” existing treatment plants, targeting specific pain points without disruption to current processes. This means for the first time, oil & gas, refining, chemical production, and other heavy industries can avoid the production bottlenecks, high treatment and disposal costs, water reuse limitations, and difficulties meeting increasingly tougher regulations that have plagued them for decades.
