Vancouver, BC, June 8, 2010--(T-Net)--Quester Tangent announced the appointment of Undersea Sense Ltd as their new representative for the UK and Ireland. Chris Elliott, Director Marine, commented that "Andy Williamson, the director and founder of Undersea Sense, hails from a background that directly complements our objectives in seabed classification. He has an impressive knowledge of the UK market, both in general but also more specifically in respect of clients who are interested in ground discrimination products. We are pleased to have him on board with us."
Andy said that the seabed classification products from Quester Tangent complement the existing product range offered by Undersea Sense, which includes multibeam sonars from R2Sonic. Data acquired by the R2Sonic sounder can be seamlessly loaded and processed for bottom type in Quester Tangent's swath classification software.
This appointment coincides with two exciting new developments at Quester Tangent. Real-time classification capability has now been added to the proven QTC VIEW 5.5 system with the release of QTRT - Quester Tangent Real-Time Classification, providing accurate and repeatable single beam classification from less than 1m of water to over 2000m, with real-time QA, classification and chart overlay. In addition Quester Tangent is releasing QTC SWATHVIEW, software that combines the capabilities of QTC MULTIVIEW and QTC SIDEVIEW to provide a single product for classification of multibeam, sidescan and interferometric sonars.
