Job Description:

Senior Technical Consultant by virtue of their experience gained and their exposure to a variety of project areas, will act as a subject matter expert for Curam-related technical implementation knowledge both internally and externally. They represent consultants who will have significant delivery responsibilities as part of a project implementation, and will typically be well-known and sought-after individuals. They will act as the point of contact on site for technical design and development-related questions and issues that arise which cannot be addressed by customer technical staff. They will liaise closely with Technical Project Managers on complex technical matters, and may act in the role of Technical Project Managers for small projects or proofs of concept. They will typically be assigned to a single project at a time.

Responsibilities: 


To act as a technical reference for Curam-related development, testing and deployment knowledge, both internally to Technical Consultants, and externally to Systems Integration (SI) partner and customer development staff 
To work as part of a team with SI partners and/or customers to implement business requirements using the Curam Framework in a timely, performance-centric and maintainable manner 
To work closely with SI partner and customer technical architects to design specific functional areas of a customers requirements 
To establish and maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees, SI partners and customers, and to promote technical credibility as a capable and trusted partner. 
To uphold the same professional standards and work ethic expected of all our consultancy staff and to lead by example when working with less experienced staff.

Skills and Attributes: 


A bachelors degree from an accredited institution, preferably with coursework or a major in a computer-related discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information systems). 
At least seven years professional work experience in a hands-on computer-related role (e.g., developer, technical analyst, or consultant). 
Excellent interpersonal skills and situational awareness, with the ability to tactfully represent our interests in dynamic customer environments. 
Strong knowledge in at least one programming language. e.g. Java, C+ 
Knowledge of UML. 
Experience with UNIX and NT Operating systems. 
Extensive experience with relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL. 
Knowledge of enterprise development (J2EE, .NET, ERP)

Skills

Skills/Attributes Highly desirable: 
Prior experience as an analyst or consultant in a large professional services organization or package software company 
An understanding of the core functionality or the associated business processes of human services (e.g., welfare, medical assistance, child protection, child support, or unemployment insurance). 
Experience with the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, or Eclipse based IDE products such as IBM Rational Application Developer is highly desirable. 
Experience with Software Configuration Management / version control products such as IBM Rational ClearCase, CVS, Subversion

Position location: 


Candidates can be based in any metropolitan US or Canadian city as long as they are reasonably close to major airport
