Job Title: Intermediate/Senior Software Engineer - FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer (CARD444/446)
Job Location: Burnaby, BC
As an Intermediate/Senior Software Engineer at Fortinet, you will be responsible for the full development cycle of Fortinet's FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer product. You are given the opportunity to participate in the development cycle from troubleshooting and testing, allowing you to familiarize yourself with FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer and later, to participation in the design and development of new features. This position offers large scope variety and direct involvement with complex, innovative technology as well as the opportunity to work with the experienced project management, quality assurance, user interface and systems engineering teams at Fortinet.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hands on in bug fixing current FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer products
- Development, design and test the software for Fortinet FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer product
- Maintain and document code using source control system
- Maintenance, performance tuning, and support of implemented software or firmware products
- Implement the FMG new features according to PM's specs
Job Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years years of software development experience in Unix/Linux environment
- Experienced programmer in C/C++, Algorithm, TCP/IP networking, Unix system APIs, multi process/thread programming
- Capable of switching focus in various situations and apply themselves to quickly learning new technologies and adopting new methodologies
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Relational database skills is an asset
Educational Requirements:
Computer Science or similar degree
