PDFTron is a progressive, rapidly growing software company located in Yaletown Vancouver. The company has an established and continuously growing technology offering with a large, world-wide customer base.

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Inside Sales professional to process incoming sales inquiries and orders as well as handle any client management activities, including renewals, maintaining current/accurate customer information, preparing sales collateral (such as quotes, invoices, emails, proposals, contracts) and general license/payment processing. You have a sense of urgency, need little supervision, and are extremely motivated to get things done and excel. You are able to manage multiple relationships simultaneously, communicate with existing and potential clients on every level of the organization with confidence and ease, and you have a service-oriented, professional and non-invasive attitude.

You don't mind taking on other tasks, in fact you crave to take on more responsibilities and grow within the company. For all intents and purposes, this is an opportunity with tremendous career potential. The right candidates will be trained to assume strategic business development roles or client account management roles within the company.


  • Quickly gain and consistently maintain a detailed understanding of the company's products and business model.
  • Provide sound, technology-focused sales information to potential or exiting customers on software product offerings (i.e. advanced product features, benefits, future product direction, licensing options and other general sales questions).
  • Effectively prioritize and manage a large number of inbound leads, and turn into sales.
  • Have punctual follow-up calls, emails and mail correspondence.
  • Process Sales - agreements, orders, renewals and any other client license/payment process documentation.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Identify high priority accounts and forward to appropriate sales managers.
  • Source potential new leads.
  • Track sales process with detailed client records and reports - sales activity, closings, follow-up, forecasting, etc.
  • Use CRM to maintain accurate client information, generate invoices/quotes, and monitor status of accounts/contracts and other applicable information.
  • Work with senior management to enhance existing operations and sales processes where possible to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through customer interaction to appropriate company staff.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Other sales/marketing/administrative duties as may be assigned from time to time.


  • College or university degree related to business operations/management, sales, administration, and/or marketing.
  • Experience in an inside sales role, particularly in a IT/software B2B environment, is an asset
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Collaborative team player with strong customer service orientation.
  • Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal and email); fluency in English is a must (in fact, you are envied by others for your polished, attention grabbing prose!).
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong commitment towards deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and ability to demonstrate a take-charge attitude.
  • Internet-savvy and proficient in computer software such as MS Office applications, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with CRM software (such as Salesforce, SugarCRM, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the accounting or bookkeeping an asset.
  • Driven, tenacious, fearless, intuitive, egoless, collaborative.

Definite Assets:

  • A software or technology background and/or passion for software with an ability to quickly learn and understand more-than-basic software terminologies and concepts.
  • Knowledge of tech industry and our market area.
