Terminal Operations Technician - Burnaby
In this temporary position, you will be responsible for safely and accurately operating various types of flow and process equipment used to load and unload ships and barges to meet shipper requirements. You will ensure all work complies with company regulations, policies and guidelines and will actively participate in and promote individual and organizational safety and environmental programs. Part of your role will be to accurately prepare operations documents, maintenance inspections and safety related reports. Performing or assisting with preventative maintenance service and minor repairs will be among your responsibilities.
You have a minimum of a high school diploma and have successfully completed post secondary training in oil and gas processing, industrial process equipment and operations, or you have a minimum of five years of field experience in oil and gas, pulp and paper processing or chemical manufacturing industries. You must have strong math and computer skills, particularly with MS Excel, and are able to clearly communicate operating information. Being able to effectively work as part of a team, take and follow directions from senior personnel, adhere to a work schedule and pay attention to detail while following rules and regulations are all key attributes.
For this role, your work schedule will be assigned and will involve shift work, including day and night shifts, weekend and overtime work assignments.
