Alpha Technologies was founded in 1976 to provide power supplies to the
cable television industry. These products – which still comprise a significant portion
of Alpha’s total business – provide critical power conditioning and an
emergency backup power to cable television delivery networks.
Rapid growth in global communications, and the critical connection between
system power and overall network reliability, created a strong demand for
Alpha’s product across a wide array of communication applications.

Since 1980 ATL has provided complete powering solutions for sensitive
electronic business communication applications.
Alpha’s Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) protect and provide
backup power to sensitive electronic equipment.
Applications include telecom networks (PBX, Key Systems), LAN, WAN
and other data networking systems. Additionally,
Alpha has developed speciality power protection products for various
medical, OEM, and outdoor applications.

NOVUS Product Line
Alpha’s long history in Outside Plant powering has provided the expertise
necessary to serve the rapidly growing wireless market.
Alpha offers a full line of Outside Plant powering products for
today’s most challenging wireless communications applications. The Novus
line of UPS’s are designed for outdoor powering in conditions ranging in
temperature from -40°C to +52°C, at altitudes from sea level to 10,000 ft.
These power systems fill two vital roles in ensuring the reliability of
these communications networks. First,
they provide critical power conditioning and power protection from sags,
surges, spikes and other power anomalies common to unprotected utility
power. Secondly, in the event
of complete utility power loss, Alpha’s power solutions provide the
necessary back up power to keep the wireless network up and operational.

NOVUS XTi
Provides power conditioning and extended backup time for Telecommunications
equipment, cellular sites and PCS systems.
It is capable of
providing up to eight hours of backup power.
When an XTiB power bypass switch is attached to the XTi, a generator can be
added for even greater backup capacity.

NOVUS P1250 and 1250T
These UPS’s are used where the backup capacity of the Novus XTi is not
needed. A standard
feature is its rugged, outdoor, lockable housing which enables the placing
of the system near to where the power is needed. NEXSYS
Product Line
The Nexsys UPS line is designed for indoor telecommunications, data
networks, security, medical facilities, and many other environments where
uninterrupted power is needed. Internal batteries provide up to 30 minutes of backup
time – the longest available on the market today.
External battery packs can be attached to increase backup to twelve
hours. All batteries are hot
swappable and are regulated by Alpha’s smart charge technology to ensure
they remain at peak charge.
CFR Series Product Line
Although specifically designed as the ideal power backup choice for business
users or computer networks, the CFR Series UPS is a highly versatile
product. This series features
rugged design for long, dependable use.
They meet or exceed the safety standards set by UL, CSA, CE and VDE,
making them one of the safest, most reliable UPS on the market.
The CFR Series is available in power ratings from 600 VA to 15 KVA
and external battery packs can extend backup time to up to nine hours.
