Etalim has developed a totally new type of physical device that generates several kW of electricity from heat with extraordinary efficiency and simplicity, by leveraging advances in thermo-acoustic physics. The Etalim “TAC” component is highly efficient (>30%), needs no maintenance over decades of operating life, is inexpensive to manufacture using standard metals and methods, and runs on virtually any fuel or heat source. The technology is now fully scaled and de-risked, and Etalim is in joint development with top global power generation, HVAC and automotive brands to commercialize the technology in billion-dollar clean energy markets. Etalim has seven patents issued or pending. The scientists and engineers behind Etalim come from one of BC's most successful tech stalwarts, Creo Inc. Etalim was a winner of the New Ventures BC competition in 2009, and was awarded "Most Promising Pre-commercial Technology" in 2011 by the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA).
