Programming got you down?
coLab Coffee + Code is a free monthly meetup for you to improve your coding skills, meet fellow developers, and to give and receive mentorship.
Curious about programming but don't know where to start? Are you new to development and looking to gain some experience or guidance? Or maybe an "old dog" looking to upgrade your skills or switch tech stacks?
We all have something we can learn and teach one another. The goal of this meetup is to bring together like-minded folks who want to become better developers in a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Everyone with an interest in programming is welcome regardless of skill level or tech stack.
(We're not interested in starting any Java-Python-Ruby debates. Let's leave the Coding Wars for our programmer fan fiction.)
Meetup structure:
- Welcome and introductions
- Roundtable: Talk about problems and get help from the group
- Presentations: short topical and informative presentations about something that's useful to the group
- General Q&A
- Shout outs in the style of JavaScript Jabber
- Plan/information about the next meeting
Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems. The coLab will provide WiFi, coffee/tea/water, and a comfortable spot to sit, plug in, and rock out your code!
