The world of hardware is evolving at an accelerated rate; autonomous-vehicles are projected to be driving city streets within 10 years, but the technology will be reaching new levels of sophistication within 5 years. The future may be here sooner than we think.
CES offered us a glimpse into what's to come for the technological development of consumer products, while also showing us how the landscape is shifting behind the store shelves.
We've assembled a panel of experts in hardware development and hardware businesses to give their insights and predictions on what 2019 holds for the evolution of hardware trends.
RSVP'ing on Meetup.com DOES NOT guarantee you a spot. Tickets to the event must be purchased through Eventbrite:

PANELISTS:
Lisa Somogyi, Cooper Perkins Inc.
A mechanical engineer by trade, Lisa is now in a business development role at Cooper Perkins combining her passion for engineering with her natural tendency to meet new people. Lisa loves the process involved in identifying and matching the needs of potential clients with the skills of our engineers while keeping a pulse on which industries are moving forward with interesting new technologies. She gets excited about the creative process CP engineers implement when bringing client ideas to realization. Lisa keeps her mind fresh by following her two dogs along the river or the ski trail and working with her FIRST Robotics team, Mystic Biscuit.
Elsa Asadian, Intel
In 2008 Elsa moved to the stunning setting of Vancouver, Canada, to pursue her post-graduate degree in engineering. On completion of her Master of Science, she started working for the car giant, Mercedes Benz, on one of their state-of-the-art technologies, the new breed of hydrogen cars.
Soon after that Elsa found that her aspirations lay in the field of electronics and high tech, she began working as a designer at one of the biggest high-tech companies, Intel. Since then, she has been involved in design, manufacturing and proving cooling solutions for high power hardware devices used in data centres and laptops.
