## This meetup is for you if: - You have an idea for a tech talk. Ideally these ideas would be the basis for an actual conference talk, but they don't have to be. - Would like to explore a topic with fellow tech folks - You want to work on your presentation skills - You just want to listen to other techies!
Don't wonder too much if your topic is "worthy of presenting"! Get in contact with us and we will answer any questions.
## Each workshop will have experienced speakers on hand to: * give you a warm, inclusive welcome in a safe space (check out our Code of Conduct which all participants must adhere to) * mentor you with your proposal * provide speaking advice * and share their enthusiasm to get you to the stage!
## What's a presentation?
A presentation can be any talk related to tech! Just put together some slides, and explain it to the audience.
We believe the Vancouver tech community has a lot of interesting ideas to share! Don't let imposter syndrome get in your way - come and share your thoughts with us.
Want to carve out some creative code time where you can work on your projects without anybody looking over your shoulder or wondering when you'll be finished with that feature? Or maybe there's a language or technology that you've really wanted to try but haven't found the time to do it!
Do yourself a favor and come out to Code & Coffee where you can sit down and code to your heart's content on whatever project you bring! Whatever the language and level, show up.
MUST HAVE: An upbeat positive attitude and have zero tolerance for stereotypes.
This meetup does not accept project proposals and we are not a recruiting event.
Come join us on Slack! We have a #code-and-coffee room on Vancouver Developers! (https://yvrdev.slack.com/messages/code-and-coffee/)
