Description:
This is the story of GalvanizeaEs message queues. Our SaaS product recently switched from a third-party message queue, to using AmazonaEs Simple Queue Service (SQS). However, thataEs not where the story ends - there are other options to consider, and we already know our current solution needs to improve.
In this talk, weaEll start with the motivation for using message queues in your architecture, then will examine some typical usage patterns. Next, weaEll discuss the specific aEoeProof of ConceptaE evaluation we performed using AmazonMQ, Kinesis, and SQS+FIFO, to figure out the best long-term solution.
AWS Level: Intermediate, with some software architecture experience being helpful
