We are pleased to announce a full-day introductory workshop on React Native.
We are even more pleased to announce the guest instructor, Tam Kbeili, CEO & Founder of CodeCast (and some of you may also know Tam as the former CEO and lead engineer at CodeCore Bootcamp).
This will be a full-day workshop that will cover the basics of building a React Native application using the Expo framework.
This will be in-person (at the Network Hub @ 422 Richards Street #170. Vancouver, BC V6B 2Z4) and streamed online, if you sign up for this workshop you will get an email with the stream link.
Date: Saturday, January 25
Time: 10AM - 5PM (there will be a break from 1PM - 2PM)
During this workshop, we will at least cover the following features:
* Initiating a React Native application with Expo
* Basic components building
* Doing basic Navigation
* Fetching and sending data to a backend (backend will be pre-built so we won't work on it)
* [time permitting] working with Native APIs such as the camera
This workshop assumes the following:
- You have a good understanding of Javascript
- You have a good understanding of React.js
Typescript and Redux are optional. We won't be going through concepts in regards to Javascript and React.js.

There will be a nominal ticket fee of $7 USD (~$9 CAD) to attend this workshop.
Fees will be used to help cover coffee and refreshment costs. There is no cost to attend the workshop online and it will be streamed live but remember that attending in-person has the benefit of getting in-person help from the instructor and TAs.
