In 2020, The WIMDI Speaker Series is inviting engaging speakers each month to give interactive talks on topics that help women kill it at work.
Welcome to Talk 10 of 13 - Developing Agility to Lead Through Disruption
Never has it been more clear how crucial personal and organizational agility is to the success of us all. The world of work is constantly changing -- even when we're not in a world-changing pandemic -- and smart professionals learn how to adapt, thrive and lead through disruption.
This talk will focus on how to develop your agility so that you can thrive in a working world that is defined by disruption. We'll cover:
- The five key challenges people face while leading through disruption
- The concept of neuro-emotional agility (and how it can help you)
- Crucial shifts in managing your emotions that make you more agile and able to cope with change
- Specific conversational tools you can use to lead through changing circumstances
The goal of this talk is to help you lead and thrive at work in times of disruption.
This talk is presented by Henna Inam, CEO of Transformational Leadership, Inc.
Henna Inam is an executive coach, global speaker and the author of the book Wired for Disruption. A 20-year veteran of Fortune 500 companies she has seen first-hand the pressures of leading in times of disruption. Her book details the five shifts in agility and fifteen Agility Accelerators (tools and practices) to help activate our innate agility and be a force for good in times of disruption.

How Interactive Webinars Work:
Our events are interactive and will require your attention and input throughout the course of the event.
5:30 pm - The event starts with mingling, socializing, and small-group networking. We recommend putting your webcam on* (even if you've already transitioned to work-is-over-dress-like-a-slob mode) to help you make the strongest possible connections with your new WIMDI friends!
5:45 pm - The talk starts! Most talks contain interactive elements, question prompts for you to complete, or other activities that make multi-tasking difficult. Get out your notepad and prepare to soak up some knowledge.
6:45 pm - It's #WIMDIasks time! We end the night with our interactive community-based resource that lets you crowdsource any challenge in your life through the network of all the WIMDIs in the room.
