We often talk about the importance of networking and building strong connections to be successful personally and professionally, but when talking about womxn in tech careers, our focus is usually on social networks that can provide support and encouragement. Though there is no doubt that these connections are important and valuable, we also need to talk about how to build effective business networks that can accelerate career advancement and business growth.
There is no lack of skilled and qualified womxn talent, yet womxn are underrepresented in the tech industry as a whole, and in leadership roles in particular. This discrepancy will not be addressed by providing support and training, but requires womxn having equitable access to relevant opportunities. By building effective business networks, womxn can create such opportunities for each other, channeling the old adage "It's not what you know, it's who you know."
Join us on April 29th to hear four women leaders talk about their career journeys, sharing experiences and lessons learned that can help you build your business network.
This webinar will cover:
- Creating, maintaining and expanding your business network.
- Advocating for yourself and finding career sponsors.
- Being an advocate and champion for other women, sharing and creating opportunities.
