All of us have challenges in being the best leader possible, and this event is designed to give you expert help on those thorny issues. We've got five leadership coaches on deck to help you figure out where you're stuck and what to do about it.
In this workshop we'll do a mix of facilitated discussion and group coaching to help you solve your biggest leadership challenge -- whatever it is -- before the night is over. We'll cover:
- What your challenge is and specifically how it's hanging you up - What you'd want your future to look like if you could solve your challenge - What's standing in the way of the solution you want - The next small step you can take to move you closer to being the leader you want to be
The goal of this workshop is to give you insight into the dynamics that are contributing to your leadership challenge, and practical steps you can take to improve your leadership.
This workshop is co-facilitated by five Leadership Coaches: Holly Burton, Darrell Farrow, Sasha Herman, Shruti Sridhar Murthy and Louise Lee.
Holly Burton, Leadership Coach
Holly is WIMDI's founder and a leadership coach for women in male-dominated industries. As a mining engineer for the first ten years of her career, Holly was exposed to one of the most male-dominated spaces -- just 17% female. She uses the unique perspective she gained as a woman in mining to help ambitious women lead, get promoted, and create the careers they actually want in industries they love.
Darrell Farrow, Leadership Coach
Darrell is a strategic coach and geologist with over 30 years of experience leading and mentoring in a male-dominated industry. Darrell started her career as the first woman geologist employed in the South African mining industry's mines and worked her way into senior technical management. Now Darrell works with ambitious women who want to achieve their career goals and lead balanced lives.
Sasha Herman, Leadership Coach
Sasha is a Senior Strategist with Telus and leadership coach that helps people find fulfillment in their 9 to 5. Sasha's whole deal is helping people be happy at work. She believes that we're human beings, not human doings: If you're not happy doing what you're doing, then nothing else matters. Sasha's job is to help you figure out what you want your life to be like and then what you do to make that happen. She's proudly leading the charge in the anti-hustle movement.
Shruti Sridhar Murthy, Leadership Coach
Shruti has a background in Innovation Consulting and Technology, and has coached leaders, entrepreneurs and individuals, partnering with them on their personal leadership journeys. Shruti is fascinated by all things that enable impact: Our perspectives, the intention we set and the actions we take, and the space we give ourselves to learn and have fun in the process.
Louise Lee, Leadership Coach
Louise Lee is a Leadership & Life Coach who challenges you to see things completely differently. She's known for her honest conversations, her loving disruption, and the tangible results she helps people like you get for your life and your career. She's also known for successfully managing multi-million dollar projects whilst keeping her teams and her clients happy and sane - and a key part of this is getting really good at saying no.

This is a networking group for women in male-dominated industries (eg: mining, finance, tech, engineering, construction, politics, etc.). We meet once a month for coffee/tea to chat, comiserate, strategize, and cheer each other on. It's a great way to connect with women facing your issues when they are few and far between in your work life.
