Hello Fullstackers! We are scheduling another meetup event for June. Yury Fedoseev will talk to us about serverless technologies, in particular AWS. The talk will cover basics like why going serverless, how to work with it and other design principles.
Yury has 20 years of experience in Software Engineering. During this time he has executed several successful transitions from Monolith to Microservices and from Microservices to Serverless (using an Event-Driven Architecture). Yury is going to share with us his learning about the Philosophy of Serverless and the architectural differences with Microservices. Also, he is going to share what the hidden cost of FaaS is, how to reduce it, and what the best practices are.
Event Agenda - Welcome and introductions (10min) - Breakout rooms chat (10min): Are you familiar with Serverless? Do you use it in your company? What is/was your biggest adoption challenge? - Talk - Serverless: Beyond being a Computing Engine (30-40min) - Wrap-up
