"Designing for People" is one of UBC's active and engaging Research Excellence Clusters. We are a multidisciplinary group of researchers looking to engage with community, industry, and non-profit friends in Vancouver and beyond! We have a wide range of events that are open to all (see our website (https://dfp.ubc.ca/)), and are eager to hear from new voices and perspectives!
We are really excited about our new event series: DFP Downtown Salons (https://dfp.ubc.ca/taxonomy/term/326). The idea of a "salon" was taken from the enlightenment definition: a gathering of people in one place to share ideas, conversation, and food (in this case, not a hairstylist's shop!). The purpose of the Downtown Salons is to bring researchers, community, and industry partners into direct conversation regarding various design themes. We want to get our researchers off UBC campus and into the city to meet with you!
