The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Program provides tax incentives to encourage Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development (R&D) in Canada. The program is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).These tax incentives come in three forms: an income tax deduction, an investment tax credit (ITC), and, in certain circumstances, a refund.
The SR&ED Program provides more than $3 billion in tax incentives to over 20,000 claimants annually, making it the single largest federal program that supports business R&D in Canada. CCIC and VIATEC will host a session giving you the information you will need to build and grow your business. If you're doing any R&D, you may want to consider SR&ED (which are basically tax credits to reduce your net income):

Here's the description of the event: CRA agents will review the Scientific Research & Experimental Development program and discuss how businesses, regardless of their corporate structure or size, can recover costs of R&D expenses through federal and provincial tax credits.
Learn how to determine whether you qualify for the SR&ED program and identify eligible expense activities and methods for claiming R&D expenses.
