This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
Job Purpose
Lead the Quality activities within new product development projects, supporting the implementation of Quality mindset to the entire project teams, guiding the team to identify potential failures in an earlier stages of product development utilizing Quality tools and lessons learned. Support the identification of project risks and required actions to mitigate them and problem solving focusing on effective and robust technical solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the Quality mindset within project teams.
- Assure Preventive Quality processes are followed for New Projects.
- Drive project teams to flawless project execution using the risk assessment process to manage priorities and collaboration of cross functional teams.
- Develop and define project Quality plans based on APQP process.
- Coach and train co-workers on Quality methods and tools.
- Manage project teams to follow NPI and Quality procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvements within the Project life cycle process.
- Develop, implement and monitor Quality KPIs
- Develop and support development of new components/process with supplier, drive for excellence in part quality.
- Coordinate and drive Problem solving activities within the projects.
- Guide and drive process quality activities in the manufacturing environment in preparation for series production utilizing MSA, R@R, PTR process
- Coordinate and manage PPAP dossiers in preparation for series production
- Support firmware development lifecycle
- Support Development activities of Hardware supplier and CMs, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Implement the Preventive Quality Plan (Roadmap), on each phase of development
- Prepare and issue weekly Quality Status Report for new projects
- Attend and moderate Design and Process FMEA
- Perform and support Project Status Audits and Process Audits on new production lines
- Prepare control plans related to prototypes, pre-production and mass production, including reinforced controls for start up phase (SOP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science - Electrical or Electronics engineering specialization preferred
- Quality tools experience.
- Electrical systems and Electronics
- Hardware and/or firmware
- Experience with Supplier development process

- Six Sigma
- Certified auditor
- Energy systems and power management knowledge
- Software validation process
