Ballard's Human Resources Team is growing, and we have an exciting new opportunity for a combined HR role as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Business Partner. This challenging and diverse position involves defining, implementing and driving a robust Talent Acquisition strategy to support Ballard's significant growth. You will also partner with business leaders on compensation and rewards, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.

Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and drive a robust Talent Acquisition strategy to support organizational and HR initiatives;
- Create and manage a world class candidate experience for all applicants;
- Manage and improve the full cycle recruitment process for jobs around the globe, including drafting role descriptions, job ads, and pre-screening;
- Enhance, standardize, and train on our high-quality screening and selection process, continually testing for effectiveness;
- Build a talent pipeline and recruit through various channels;
- Acquire, report, and leverage competitive intelligence for hard to fill roles;
- Establish yourself as our social media "Brand Ambassador" by innovating and promoting the Ballard brand and our Employee Value Proposition;
- Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with third parties such as search firms, job websites, social media, and post-secondary institutions.
Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Gather input to understand the current and future business needs of the internal client and provide HR support and services aligned to those needs and to Ballard's vision, mission and values;
- Ensure all levels of leadership receive the professional advice and coaching required to implement a variety of HR programs;
- Exercise sound business and HR technical judgment by assisting in the progress and implementation of people solutions;
- Lead high volume, full-cycle recruitment for a variety of Professional and Technical positions;
- Work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals in an ever-changing, fast-paced, customer-focused environment;
- Ensure client-specific needs are taken into account in the design and implementation of corporate HR programs in the field.
Requirements:
- An accomplished HR professional, you have 8 - 10 years of directly related experience, including a record of success in Talent Acquisition and as an HR Business Partner to senior leaders.
- A relevant post-secondary degree complements your sound knowledge of employment legislation. Your talents include excellent planning, coaching, facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills. Global High-Tech experience and experience in a manufacturing environment are definite assets.
