The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping the learning and growth of our employees. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive learning and development program that focuses on leadership development and training by utilizing, but not limited to, Insights Discovery, Learning Experience Platform (LXP), and our Mentorship Program. You will work cross-functionally across the business's global footprint to deliver on the Learning strategy.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the development and implementation of a training roadmap/strategy.
- Collaborate closely with People and Culture, department heads, and leadership to identify skills gaps, align leadership development programs with business objectives, and ensure the overall success of the Learning and Development initiatives.
- Work with these teams to develop and deliver leadership development programs, including workshops, webinars, and coaching, to enhance leadership skills at all levels of the organization.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of learning and development strategies through feedback, metrics, and evaluation tools, making data-driven improvements.
- Utilize your Insights Certification to facilitate workshops and leadership coaching sessions that assist employees in gaining self-awareness, improved communication, and enhanced team dynamics.
- Management of the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), curating content, monitoring engagement, and continuously improving the platform's usability and effectiveness (Ballard Global Learning Academy).
- Oversee our Mentorship Program, matching mentors and mentees, providing training and support, and measuring the program's impact on employee growth.
- Management of all learning courses, content, and vendors.
- Management of the internal training calendar and the logistics for upcoming training activities.
- Responsible for communications to the training instructors/facilitators and employees before, during and after training.
- Ensure all global L&D programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven Experience in designing and delivering leadership development and training programs, including e-learning and other audiovisual content
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Insights Discovery Certification preferred
- Familiarity with Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) and their functionalities
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and communicate the impact of training initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extremely organized and able to prioritize workload
- Strong project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various subject matter experts and stakeholders
- A passion for continuous learning and staying current on industry trends
- Advanced in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with mentorship and coaching programs
