Position Summary
We are recruiting for a new Project Manager to join our Information Management and Information Technology team!
In this position, you will lead and direct project teams to ensure the successful delivery of IMIT projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. The project manager is responsible for the discovery, initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and control, and closing of assigned projects, to deliver the expected benefits and results on time and on budget. Collaborating with various business units and IT teams, you will direct and coordinator with various stake holders in a complex and unique environment to define project scopes and objectives, identifying required skills and resources for project teams, and developing detailed work plans.
The successful candidate will also lead the execution of the project plan and provide periodic project status reports, including inter-project dependencies and communications. Anticipating and identifying project risks and issues, recommends options, you will work with senior management to implement solutions.
Types of projects (or sets of projects) assigned include complex enterprise-wide initiatives which may include but are not limited to: IT infrastructure implementation and upgrades, IT applications development, deployment, enhancement, and migration, as well as IMIT support of business transformation, strategy and operations across FNHA.

Responsibilities
A few key responsibilities include:
- Directing and managing multiple, complex, enterprise projects from business case preparation to planning to implementation to closing and post implementation review, directing the project teams and stakeholders through the various phases of projects.
- Leading large, highly complex, enterprise-wide projects to support business and corporate strategic initiatives, engaging with stakeholders across various departments within FNHA and also with external parties, such as other health authorities, government, and technology vendors. Providing direction and gives guidance to project team members, who may come from various professional areas, such as Business Analysis and Application Development. Managing the collaborations of cross-functional teams to achieve the project goals.
- Develops full scale project plans and schedules, and leads the planning, implementation and execution of projects. Analyzes highly complex tasks to identify project dependencies, identify the critical path, and determines the best ways achieve the project benefits and goals.
- Facilitating the definition of project strategy, scope and deliverables in coordination with various stakeholders, defines project tasks and resource requirements, and coordinates project activities.
Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Computer Science/Business/Health Informatics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of recent direct Project Management experience in managing IT infrastructure and applications projects
- Proven supervisory and management experience
- Proven experience in managing large scale, complex enterprise IMIT projects
- Proven experience in managing agile projects, hybrid projects and waterfall projects through full project lifecycle
- Proven experience with commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, custom development, business architecture, and operations.
- Proven experience in risk management and change management
- Proven experience in creating project documents, such as project charter and project management plan, including preparation of briefing documents for the senior executives
- Proven experience in strategic planning
- Proven experience in RFP, vendor selection, contract management, and vendor management
- Previous experience in managing business driven or business transformation projects
- Previous experience in one or more Canadian Healthcare projects
- Advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) including Visio and SharePoint
- Experience working with PPM tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, and monday.com
Occupational Certification
- Certificate in Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE II certification is required.
