Position Summary
The Project Systems Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of systems as well as providing technical assistance and support to RHS field staff and other RHS central team users related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The role involves working in fast-paced environment where you will be tasked with providing remote support throughout the province of BC.
Responsibilities
- Provides Tier II Support for all IT Products and Services to RHS field staff and central team.
- Provides Imaging and configuration of end-user Windows machines.
- Installs and troubleshoots approved applications.
- Provides expertise and specialized support to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software, ensuring compatibility to the existing FNHA systems and network.
- Active directory management of user and computer objects such as adding groups, deleting objects and moving objects into OUs.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies that offer business improvements, and supports decision-making for future hardware and/or software acquisition.
- Recommends improvements to enhance technical capabilities of the system and reduce operating costs.
- Designs, develops, implements, sustains, and documents an effective maintenance program.
- Provides specialized expertise in the area of network infrastructure including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all video conference devices across all FNHA.
- Handles issues escalated from first-level support specialists in a timely manner with an excellent spirit of service and quality, and provides direction to build their capacity to handle the telephony systems. Provides feedback to the manager on their performance and meeting expectations of FNHA internal customers.
- Identifies and escalates issues requiring urgent attention or a higher level of knowledge.
- Other projects and duties as assigned by the Tier 2 Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education
- A university degree in Computer Science, college degree with a technical major or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical position responsible for managing server environments
- Experience creating detailed systems documentation.
- ServiceNow Enterprise experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Knowledge
- Systems Administration: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Skype for business.
- Ideal candidates hold current industry certifications applicable to this role (MCSA preferred).
- ITIL V3 cert is a plus.

- Ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple competing projects/initiatives.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others in a wellness-oriented organizational environment.
- Diplomacy while dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated customer service skills over the phone, including the ability to handle challenging issues in a professional manner.
