The Business Analysis team within IMIT, provides a full working level of specialized expertise to lead all business analysis activities within IT related projects. The team is involved in designing and communicating complex workflow analysis, drafting end-to-end documentation and Standard Operating Procedures based on industry best practices.
Title: Business Analyst- Technical
Contract: 1 year Term (until July 2024) - Maternity Leave coverage
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday- Friday (core hours- 9:00am- 3:00pm)
Location: Metro Vancouver: Sinclair Office - (Hybrid - minimum 50% in the office)
About the role
As a Business Analyst- Technical, you will collaborate with business managers, technology teams and vendors; to understand, analyze and document the business requirements and translate them into functional requirements. You will develop and implement the IT related projects and support in monitoring and tracking the project to ensure overall project success. Additionally, you will lead complex workflow analysis design sessions and document outputs according to industry standards and best practices, thereby assisting with the project life cycle planning, monitoring and document control.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 5-7 years' of Business Analysis in enterprise-scale projects with an understanding of the underlying technical architecture
- Minimum of three (3) years of BC / Canadian healthcare project experience as a Business Analyst
- Working knowledge of IIBA - BABOK guide and standards is preferred
- Working knowledge of the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is an asset
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is preferred
- ITIL Foundation Version 4.0 Certification is preferred
- Knowledge of First Nations healthcare and/or culture is an asset
