Job Description
FLIR IIS is looking for a software developer to join the Manufacturing Automation software team. This team is responsible for providing solid and scalable software infrastructure, tools and applications to verify, configure, and manufacture FLIR products. Our top priority is to produce high quality cameras efficiently and reliably.
This position provides opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies such as desktop applications, web applications and services, SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud technologies, big data storage and analytics, software automation, scripting and VMs.
The ideal candidate for this position should have passion for writing software and have strong belief in code quality and testing. You always have innovative and almost impossible ideas. You are detail and performance oriented, proficient in one or more programming languages, efficient in debugging issues and care about the team and the big picture. You are also good at communicating your design and ideas through white board drawing and documentation. Continuous improvement isn't a bonus, but rather a must have.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, Implement, Support next generation of FLIR manufacturing software
- Research and Analysis on algorithms and performance issues
- Stay on top of software technologies and architecture helping Manufacturing to improve efficiency and robustness
- Support legacy software systems
- Provide guidance to Junior developers and Co-ops
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering Or college degree in IT related fields
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience
- Strong object-oriented programming skills
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Proficient in C#
- Experience in system/architecture design
- Practical experience in SQL/NoSQL Database
- Practical experience in web frontend and backend technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
