Our client is a large, complex and highly-regulated organization with a requirement to conduct IT Projects in a controlled and structured manner. As a fully-outsourced IT organization, Project Managers typically interact with multiple service providers, vendors and teams, both inside and external to the company to deliver projects.
The Lead Project Manager will be accountable for providing oversight and leadership for the Project Manager team and liaising with the client PMO and vendors., The Lead Project Manager role is critical to ensuring that all projects are holistically led and managed to ensure success of the full development life cycle activities including vendor management and stakeholder expectation management. The Lead Project Manager must ensure that all PM's follow the client delivery methodology and approach. Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Project Management - manage and deliver projects following the guideline of the client PMO.
- Manage PM workload; assign PM's as per approved and anticipated pipeline.
- Key member of the Fujitsu management team, work closely with manager to identify and manage risks.
- Escalation point for client PMO and Fujitsu PM's.
- Formulate and maintain a positive relationship with the client PMO and business stakeholders.
- Monitor all projects and meet monthly with the client PMO to review status and highlight risk and issues.
- Review PM Deliverables and provide feedback and direction.
- Plan, organize, and control the activities and resources of the PM group.
- Interview, select, and integrate new team members into the team.
- Ensure that the PM's project work results are compliant with the stated requirements, priorities, and strategies of the project.
- Maintain a liaison with the client, business solution manager, and external providers to coordinate the project activities.
- Provide oversight on change requests and outstanding issues.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in the development of PM procedures.
- Participate in Fujitsu dashboard reporting.
- Escalate issues, risks and problems to the identified authority when the situation so requires.
- In addition to the above responsibilities, it is expected the Lead Project Manager will also manage projects as required
