Position Highlights

ICBC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Specialist to join the Operational Resilience team. The Senior Technical Specialist will provide technical support, administration and maintenance services for the Enterprise Monitoring tools at ICBC, such Application Performance Monitoring, Digital Experience Monitoring and Log Monitoring tools.

We are looking for someone who can support monitoring of ICBC's complex enterprise environment both on-premise and in Cloud.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administration, maintenance, monitoring and tuning of supported platforms and systems
• Providing technical support, problem analysis and root cause analysis as well as monitoring guidance to IT and businessstakeholders
• Maintaining and enhancing observability at ICBC by utilizing monitoring tools, and leveraging best practices
• Creating both detailed and high-level solution diagrams and documentation for operational support as well as otherstakeholders and project teams
• Planning and designing technical solutions for various monitoring requests such as dashboards, alerts and automation
• Providing technical leadership as well as planning, prioritizing and completing multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paceenvironment.

Position Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

• Several years of proven expertise and experience in operational support for technologies, systems, tools and solutions following industry trends and best practices
• Demonstrated experience in project management and technical implementation planning and delivery
• Experience developing business cases for medium to large size infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring, digital experience monitoring and log monitoring technologies and concepts
• Demonstrated effective organization, documentation and planning skills
• Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence both technical and non-technical people

The following technologies and concepts are used by the Enterprise Monitoring team. Experience with these will be an asset:

• Windows Server, UNIX or Linux systems administration
• Monitoring technologies (SCOM, Dynatrace, Aterntiy, Splunk, NetCool)
• Directory services (LDAP, AD)
• ITIL methodologies and best practices with incident, problem and change management, and service management
