- Supports the development and maintenance of requirements from the ship level down through the EW subsystem levels. This will done through a mix of traditional engineering and MBSE approaches, including capturing the outputs in a SysML modelling environment.
- Develops and generates deliverable documents such as engineering plans, engineering budgets, design reports, and operational concepts. Our team will need to support the full scope of system engineering aspects including compatibility and interoperability, human factors, cyber-security, modelling and simulation, ILS, and verification and testing.
- Analyzes and develops specific EW solutions to current and emerging threats.
- Defines and maintains interfaces between the EW subsystems and the ship platform, including the combat management system, above water systems, and mast design.
- Support and/or generate of models to simulate system performance and RF interference / integration into mission platform and other platform sensors.
- Support human factors engineering in the definition of how the EW systems are used by naval operators.
- Supports system/product integration.
- Verifies and validates system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Supports planning and cost estimates for Engineering Change Proposals and program phase/task proposals.
