Compensation Analyst

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, the Compensation Analyst will play a key role in the review and analysis of activities related to MDA Total Rewards programs - including compensation, benefits, retirement plans and other monetary and non-monetary rewards and recognition plans.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Support annual salary review cycles and incentive plan processes
- Conduct analysis of internal equity and external market competitiveness as required and collaborate in making compensation recommendations for new hires and internal promotions.
- Lead all aspects of the survey submission process including understanding survey methodology, job matching, data gathering, data validation, benchmarking, and preparation of data submission files
- Participate in the maintenance of the job evaluation process and ensure compliance with Pay Equity requirements in all provinces
- Assist in compensation and benefits analysis for various union negotiations
- Audit the HRMS system for accurate compensation and benefits data
- Provide support to employees in relation to group benefits and pension plan inquiries or issues regarding their coverage and claims and facilitate the annual open enrolment for Group benefits in the US.
- Conducts various benefits related reconciliations and provide required reports
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the retirement programs; enrollments, contributions, terminations, expenses, audits (Ontario DB, DC and BC RRSP plans) and coordinates and provides minutes for all Pension Committee meetings
- Assist with the administration of disability leaves and provides ongoing key metrics
- Support and collaborate on ad-hoc projects
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of pension and benefit practices
- Extreme proficiency in Excel including ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, formulas, v-lookup, pivot table etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint including ability to import and manipulate charts, pictures, mail merges etc.
- Knowledge of HRIS UKG a plus
- Must be able to manage conflicting priorities, function well under pressure and treat all information with confidentiality.
- Detailed oriented, Strong organizational skills and sound judgement.
- Customer focus, professional, people oriented and effectively interact with all levels of employees
- French/English spoken and written preferred
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (HR, Administration, Finance)
