Quartech is looking for an Back end Developer - Contract to join our IoT -project team . This is a 6 - months contract with likelihood of extension

In this role you will be:

• Responsible for building powerful API and data management capabilities.
• You will work together with a highly talented and motivated team of engineers to develop a high-performance data platform and analytics applications connected to various internal and external data sets.
• You'll design and implement intuitive APIs and create internal and customer-facing solutions.
• Develop, test, investigate, document, and refactor code, contributing to API backendservices.

• Development of external-facing API Products
• Management, development, migration and maintenance of our API Gateway
• Build and own the core systems that form the architecture of our backend services from API gateways, service observability and inter-service communications to higher-level business components like identity, commerce, and analytics systems, to name a few.
• Build and maintain the connection between the server end and the client end.
• Build and maintain our application databases
• Participate and contribute in product feature design and system design.
• Identify and assist in mitigating technical, schedule, and other project risks.
• Learn, work, and thrive in an Agile environment.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• GCP / Cloud experience - Big Query, App Engine, API & Services
• Transformation services such as XML, JSON, CSV, SQL
• API Development using Javascript, Java, Java frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Security, Microservices framework
• Web services - RESTful API through Node.js (Must)
• Application Server, Relational database (SQL server) + Big Query, Code merges ( Github/CI-CD)
• Good understanding of relational and document database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
• Experience building and maintaining customized CI/CD workflows
• Docker - GCP Cloud build, Kubernetes/Terraform

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

University degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science,
