Responsibilities
We have an opportunity for a Director, Inside Sales to join our Richmond, BC headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a high-performance insides sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue achievement. You have a passion for sales leadership, mentoring and business development. You have 5+ years of sales experience, experience managing new business efforts in an Inside Sales capacity, and proven success in growing or scaling a sales team. You have excellent communication and leadership skills, and a desire to be a part of a dynamic fast-paced environment. Key Accountabilities:
- Meet or exceed Inside Sales department revenue targets or quotas
- Lead the Inside Sales team to identify qualified opportunities, set meetings and close new business
- Hire, develop and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives
- Work closely with the VP of Inside Sales and Sales Management in creating action plans for team objectives and ensuring growth targets are met
- Manage and validate the sales pipeline to ensure the team is always at or above quota by progressing the deals through stage
- Develop sales key performance indicators and develop a system to consistently measure and improve performance to meet revenue targets
- Coach and inspire team members to stretch and perform their best
- Conduct weekly 1:1's, mentoring and career development sessions for the team
- Identify and implement new processes and procedure to create greater results
- Develop and implement an effective sales training program for new employees
- Leverage technology and sales enablement tools
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- 7-10 years of proven successful sales management and leadership experience required, preferably Inside Sales
- Experience in growing/scaling a sales team
- Strong coaching abilities and emotional intelligence
- Successful track record in sales-driven environments and superior leadership skills
- Demonstrated success utilizing metrics to drive sales performance
- Expertise in Salesforce.com
- Strong knowledge of demand / pipeline generation methodologies
- In-depth understanding of sales processes and sales reporting, including sales forecasting, territory planning & management
- Experience and ability to work with senior management
- Outstanding relationship building and customer handling skills
- Solution selling experience is an asset
- Experience with sales automation tools is an asset
