Job Summary
We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, Corporate to join our Finance team in our Richmond, BC headquarters. In this role, you will provide analytical support to key decision makers within the Company. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, Corporate, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting and modelling support for various business units of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated and business unit analysis and reporting for monthly operations reviews:
- o Analyze operating costs - provide explanation for variances in operating costs to Plan and previous forecasts
- o Partner with business unit analyst in understanding the driver of variances and identify potential risks and opportunities in the forecast
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to develop the annual budget, quarterly guidance, monthly forecast and other ongoing operations reports; provide assistance and training for the business unit leads to complete their forecast
- Develop and provide KPIs for the business units to support decision making
- Support the financial reporting team in preparing management material for both internal and external stakeholders
- Review complex financial information and reports and support other finance teams as required (e.g. accounting, tax, treasury, financial reporting, legal, etc.)
- Maintain an environment of continuous improvement by strengthening, modifying or eliminating current processes to increase efficiency and strengthen controls
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- University degree
- Professional Accounting designation (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior financial analyst role within Finance
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups) and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
- ERP and Planning tool Experience (ideally JDE, Anaplan, Essbase etc.) an asset
- Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools; implementation of BI tool an asset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with internal/external team members at a senior level
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision
- Highly organized and ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
