Job Summary
We have an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our IT Information Systems Team in our Richmond, BC headquarters or remote in Canada (working in a similar time zone). In this role, you will manage the prioritized corporate projects and lead the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation through to delivery and handover. You will work closely with stakeholders, the internal IT teams, and vendors to co-create solutions that will transform our current system landscape.
Responsibilities
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to scope out projects, including functional and technical deliverables, cost estimates, resources, and identification of benefits.
- Consistently apply project management methodology, standards, practices, processes and artifacts to all projects and work streams.
- Initiate IT projects by preparing project scope documents and charters.
- Prepare project plans and schedules.
- Manage all phases of implementation, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, status reporting, issue resolution, and cost monitoring.
- Update and negotiate resource requirements. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors. Manage relationships with third party system integrators and vendors assisting with delivery and support for enterprise systems and associated services.
- Facilitate Steering Committee meetings and project meetings. Manage expectations with senior leadership and key stakeholders and effectively communicate all aspects of project delivery (reporting at all stakeholder levels).
- Document decisions and risks. Form and execute mitigation plan.
- Conduct post-implementation debriefs to identify recommendations for continuous improvement
- Proactively identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as, or before they occur.
- Define and lead change management activities based on awareness of the details of the changes and groups being impacted.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field
- 5-7 years' successful experience implementing medium to large enterprise level IT projects requiring complex and multiple integration points, data reconciliation and migrations.
- PMP and SCRUM Master Certification would be an asset.
- Able to manage multiple stakeholder groups and interests.
- Excellent Communication and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional project management and leadership skills including; coaching and team building (cross functional), negotiation and conflict management, critical thinking and problem solving, ability to motivate others, risk and issue management, budget and forecast management and change management.
- Proven ability to build consensus, anticipate concerns and drive resolution to problems and issues.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Desired Education, Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology
- Experience with Salesforce and JD Edwards platform is a plus
